On January 28, 2023, an International Seminar was held with the theme “Increasing Exports with Agricultural Research Products and the inauguration of the HA IPB DPC Malaysia” at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The event featured speakers from the Attache of Education and Culture of Indonesian in Malaysia, Prof. M. Firdaus; CEO of PT Pandawa Agri Indonesia, Kukuh Roxa PH; and Professor in Economics of Universiti Putra Malaysia, Prof Dr. Normaz Wana. This hybrid event discussed increasing food security based on research and innovation and distributing agricultural products to export countries.
During the event, Kukuh Roxa presented the research and innovation of PT Pandawa Agri Indonesia in reducing pesticide use in agriculture with the Pesticide Reductant technology. This technology can reduce pesticide use by 50% without lessening its effectiveness. Moreover, reductants can be used on various commodities, including rice. Each export destination country for agricultural products has strict MRL regulations. MRL regulations restrict residual pesticide levels in specific values that need to comply. Thus, sustainable farming methods must be implemented to enter the export market by reducing agricultural inputs such as pesticides.
With Pesticide Reductant, it can not only save on agricultural input costs but also reduce pesticide residue. Kukuh Roxa also announced in the final stage of finalization to collab with a potential partner to expand the market and distribute Reductants throughout South East Asia. Expanding distribution of Pesticide Reductant so that in the future, more pesticides will be reduced, it will be easier for farm products to enter the export market, and food security will be more robust.
